You need to create three views for each image: smal, medium and detail.
Uhmm... there is also a scaled version for the gallery wall view. Look into it.
Detail : Unlimited Image size, (Remember loading time)
Save image to
../Gallery/Collection/<artist>/<type>/detail/ as
<image-name>-detail.jpg.
Open the file Mal-detail.htm in the same directory, and insert your image into this html document. Save this document with new name and title, as <image-name>-detail.htm with title "<Image-name> detail". This finishes the Detailed view format.
Medium : Image size, approx 350 pixels
Rescale image to 25% or original. Add Frame and Title.

Save to ../medium directory as <name>-medium.jpg
In the medium directory open the Mal-medium.htm document and insert the image, save to
same directory as <name>-medium.htm with title "<name> detail".
Smal : Image size, approx 120 pixels
Rescale image to 25% of the medium size. Save as <name>-smal.jpg to the ../smal directory. Not necessary toinsert this image into a html document.
Next step : Set hyperlink references to your image from the table view, and wall view.

- Update the Oil catalogue, giving your painting a catalogue number, specify title, medium and size.

To balance load time and quality of the image. Typical file sizes are :

1. Update the digital catalogue, Catalogue - Digital Art , enter catalogue id, title, year created etc.
2. Formating original image using paintshop, and inserting the formated image into relevant folder.
Detailed - Unlimitet in size, example : width x heigth 1156 x 816 24 bit jpeg
.jpg files placed in detail remember to add extension
-detail to filename.
* No html file needed for holding this image as
this zoom level is not implemented yet.
Medium - Maximum heigth 350 pixels, example 436 x 350 pixels

Create .htm file for holding the image in the
same directory with same filename but different extension.
Small - Maximum height 120 - 150 pixels (typical 25% of original), example 174x120
pixels
.jpg files placed in smal remember to add extension - smal to
filename.
* No html file neede to hold the image, as this
is placed in the Digital-gallery
Jpeg compression of image files. Typical compression settings are 50%, which gives reasonable image quality. For the detailed image, a higher compresson ratio or 75% might be required. Typical image size normaly is as large as 6 MB. ** Note that filesize is typical 70-100 kb for this level of detail.
3. Placing the formated images into the Digital Gallery wall and adding hyperlinks.
Hyperlinks are needed from the small image on the Digital gallery wall to the medium sized image contained in the .html document. ** Futher more from this image to the detailed view if higest zoom level is wanted (not implemented).
To complete the gallery update, follow these steps.
Open the Digital-gallery document, and place the small image on the wall. Remember to add text to image, in the format <image title, creator, year>.
Open the The Digital Collection-template-medium document, insert the medium sized image and save with relevant filename/page title. (remember the - medium extension).
Create a hyperlink on the small image in the gallery to this document.
Create a hyperlink to the same document on the title in Catalogue - Digital Art

Remove catalogue reference to item in Catalogue - Digital Art
Delete .jpg files in directories - smal , medium & detail
Also remember to remove the .html files (only relevant in the medium folder)
