Pices of carpet tiles where cut to fint into strategic places, leaving the rubberlike
supstance pointing outwards, and the hairy side inwards. Worked great at the time.

Note the pice of capet mounted under the CPU socket. This was done to reduce the noise
emited from the fan. It reduced the vibrations and reconance by providing a firmer base.
The MB was fastened by plastic "plugs" by the way, so the effect was probably
greater here than in a system where the MB is "screwed" to the cabinet.
